Mackworth Island ramble by Casco Bay in Maine

I'm so far behind on posting the camper adventures for the summer I probably won't catch up. Forward we go into the late summer and fall. We did get to camp overnight twice at Recompence on Wolf Neck Farm having great weather both times. What a piece of land to have been saved from development !!

We've attended a couple of truck camper rallies and had the pleasure of camping with our friends Rob & Jayne up in the mountains of New Hampshire.

Today we walked around The Mackworth Island Trail. I should say ambled because it is a pretty flat one and a half mile walk but so beautiful. We are blessed to have such places so close to us.

It's always interesting to see how kid's minds works. An area is set aside along a trail for them to build fairy houses. Some kids think little; a few think really, really big.
